OREANDA-NEWS In Krasnodar, a court sentenced Ukrainian Yevgeny Monastyrev to 11 years in prison for espionage in favor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). 

Monastyrev was found guilty under Article 276 ("Espionage") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. He will serve his sentence in a maximum security colony.

According to the agency, from January to November 2022, the man lived in the Russian region and collected information about critical and transport infrastructure. He photographed railway and road bridge supports and power transmission towers for the AFU. However, the FSB officers figured him out and detained him.

Earlier, FSB officers detained a 48-year-old resident of the village of Oktyabrskoye for filming the consequences of the APU attack in the Kursk region and transmitting this video to a representative of the Ukrainian Telegram channel.
