OREANDA-NEWS. During the day, 986 deaths with COVID-19 were confirmed in Russia, 220,315 people with this disease have died for the entire time, the operational headquarters for combating the spread of coronavirus infection told reporters.

In particular, 72 patients with coronavirus died in Moscow per day, 67 in St. Petersburg, and 41 in the Sverdlovsk region.
The Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko said that more than half a trillion rubles were additionally allocated to the fight against COVID-19.
"The Ministry of Finance confirmed that this year more than half a trillion rubles were allocated to fight the coronavirus infection," Murashko told reporters.
He noted that the funds that are now forced to spend on treatment can be prevented.
