OREANDA-NEWS The head of the Crimean Interethnic Mission, Zaur Smirnov, proposed to consolidate the concept of "zhdun" at the legislative level, providing for administrative and criminal prosecution.

Those who are waiting for the arrival of the Ukrainian army and government, while discrediting the Russian Federation, are called "Zhduns" in Crimea and new regions of Russia.

"The concept of "zhdun" needs to be fixed at the legislative level, this will make it possible to more effectively combat this dangerous phenomenon for the state. In addition to administrative and criminal prosecution, malicious "zhduns" should be deprived of Russian citizenship, and possibly expelled from the country," he told RIA Novosti.

Smirnov stressed that the Crimean Interethnic Mission is ready to initiate a public discussion of this issue.
