OREANDA-NEWS  In Buryatia in the village of Ilinka, Pribaikalsky district, 55 school students fell ill with salmonellosis. On this fact the Prosecutor's office together with Rospotrebnadzor Department carried out an inspection, it is reported on the website of Department.

The staff of Prosecutor's office and Rospotrebnadzor revealed numerous violations during check of the sanitary and epidemiological legislation at the organization of school food at Ilyinsky secondary school.

"Numerous violations were revealed. In the school canteen, the regime of washing dishes was not observed, food products were not subjected to the necessary processing, the conditions of their storage were violated, the cleaning equipment for the catering unit and the toilet was kept together," the Prosecutor's office said.

Food was stored with disorders. Kitchen, canteen and toilet were cleaned with one inventory.

The Department also noted that three employees of the canteen did not pass hygienic training. All violations have led to the reproduction and spread of bacteria that cause salmonellosis.

It is specified that the Director of educational institution brought to disciplinary responsibility, the head of the canteen dismissed.

The Prosecutor's office opened a criminal case under part 1 of Art. 236 of the criminal code (violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules, which resulted in the negligence of a mass disease of people) against the former head of the canteen.

As the "East-Teleinform", the students got sick earlier in October. Pribaikalsky district court suspended the activities of the school for 30 days, there were anti-epidemic measures.
