OREANDA-NEWS  Senegal criticized the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris for not allowing Russia and double standards. The words of the leader of the Republic of Values party Tierno Alassane Salla are quoted by RIA Novosti.

According to the African politician, the Olympics most strongly symbolizes the arrogance of the West, which imposes its only true view of civilization on the world. "Exclude Russia for the conflict in Ukraine and at the same time accept Israel with open arms, suspected by the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) of genocide and convicted by the International Court of Justice of the United Nations," he explained his position. Sall also condemned blasphemy at the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony of the Olympics took place in Paris on July 26. The event caused a mixed reaction from the public, mostly negative.

A total of 15 Russians were admitted to the 2024 Games. They participate in the tournament as individual neutral athletes.
