Immunologist Assessed the Results of Non-Working Days

OREANDA-NEWS. Immunologist Nikolai Kryuchkov called the cancellation of non-working days in Moscow, introduced for such a short time, strange and senseless. He appreciated the relevant initiative of the capital's authorities, noting that non-working days could not significantly affect either the rate of vaccination or the daily increase in the incidence, a tangible result could come only after a month of restrictive measures.
Earlier, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said that the authorities did not plan to extend the non-working days introduced in the city from October 28 to November 7.
“This is strange,” said Kryuchkov. - It is clear that non-working days were introduced in order to stimulate vaccination. Similarly, if you remember, it was in the summer with the introduction of QR codes: then vaccination went up sharply, lasted for some time, and then, when all restrictions were lifted before the elections, dropped so much that the rates were even lower than before the introduction of QR -codes".
Now, according to the immunologist, the rate of vaccination in different regions has increased three to four times, which is a very good indicator. Another month like this could seriously move the vaccination campaign forward.
"But this takes time. There is no point in one week of restrictions, the maximum that you can get is a short burst of vaccinations. Although, of course, it is not clear what will happen now. If, for example, all people are left on a remote control system, thus unloading public transport and social contacts, it may be possible to control the situation. Otherwise, there will be no sense," the doctor concluded.
