Hearings on the Crash of MH17 in the Donbass Were Postponed
OREANDA-NEWS. The court adjourned the hearings of the case of the crash of MH17 in eastern Ukraine in 2014 until March 23 in order to decide on an additional investigation, the possibility of interrogating new witnesses and a number of other issues.
This was announced by the judge of the District Court of The Hague, Marijke Knijff. “Today, the prosecutor’s office asked the court to make decisions, including on further investigation of the case, investigation of the reconstruction site of the MH17 crash, and interrogation of new witnesses,” she explained. According to Knijff, the issues of translating some documents into Russian and of providing a translator to Russian lawyer of one of the accused will also be decided.
The trial in the MH17 crash case began on March 9. There are four suspects: Russian citizens Igor Girkin, Sergey Dubinsky, Oleg Pulatov and the Ukrainian Leonid Kharchenko.
