OREANDA-NEWS Since the beginning of 2023, the cost of entertainment has increased significantly in Russia, Vedomosti writes with reference to data from major ticket aggregators.
In comparison with other market segments, a significant rise in price was noted in the case of theater tickets, which added more than 11 percent, up to 2,075 rubles per ticket. At the same time, in Moscow, the average cost of going to the performance was 2,614 rubles, and in the regions - 784 rubles.
Tickets for music concerts in January-August rose in price, according to Yandex Afisha, by an average of 9.4 percent, to 2,630 rubles, and according to MTS Live and Ticketland, their prices remained stable relative to last year. Both aggregators gave the same estimates regarding the dynamics of prices for attending stand-up performances, but Ticketscloud recorded an increase of 25 percent in this segment, up to 1,440 rubles.
According to Mikhail Minin, CEO of MTS Entertainment, ticket prices are rising due to the rise in the cost of equipment and its logistics. Representatives of other aggregators noted among the factors influencing the dynamics of prices, a reduction in the number of popular artists in the country, against which the demand for the remaining ones is growing, as well as general inflation indicators.
Earlier it was reported that in 2023 in Russia the demand for concerts of musical groups — tributes of famous artists has increased. Ticket sales for events from January to May increased by 155 percent, and the number of performances themselves increased by 95 percent. The organizers note that such concerts allow you to hear the live sound of the songs of performers who stopped performing in Russia against the background of special operations in Ukraine and the subsequent sanctions.
