OREANDA-NEWS. The Libyan National Army, led by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, is preparing for attack on the capital city of the country, Tripoli.

This was reported by Anadolu agency with reference to sources in the Government of National Accord headed by Fayez al-Sarraj. “Haftar’s army is drawing up forces to the south of Tripoli to begin another offensive,” the publication on Twitter says.

On the night of January 14, armed clashes resumed in the south of the city. This happened against the background of Haftar’s departure from Moscow without signing a ceasefire agreement. According to the Field Marshall, Russia intends to continue to strive for this goal and to combine the efforts of the countries of Europe, as well the states neighboring Libya, to achieve peace.
