Great Britain Proposes to Create an Alliance of 10 Countries to Deploy 5G Networks
OREANDA-NEWS. The Times reported that Great Britain invited the United States to form an alliance of 10 states to create an alternative pool of suppliers of equipment for deploying 5G networks and other technologies so as not to depend on imports from China in these spheres.
According to the British leadership, the countries of the Group of Seven, as well as Australia, India and South Korea should enter an alliance. New market participants are needed, an informed source from government circles said. According to him, their absence was the reason for seeking help from the Chinese company Huawei.
The British authorities recently announced that they will conduct a new examination of the role of Huawei in the deployment of 5G networks in the United Kingdom. It will be carried out by the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC). A representative of NCSC said that this decision was made after the United States announced additional sanctions against Huawei.
