OREANDA-NEWS. According to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the government is extending tax holidays for enterprises from the regions most affected by the pandemic by 3 months.

As the Prime Minister said at a government meeting, the situation in the country remains difficult. Small and medium-sized businesses need additional government assistance to cut costs and recover. Therefore, the authorities are extending this anti-crisis support for organizations and individual entrepreneurs from certain affected industries for another 3 months, that is, until the end of the year.

As calculated in the Center for Strategic Research (CSR), every fifth Russian company (19%) will not be able to pay taxes due to financial problems associated with the pandemic.

Earlier, the government adopted a package of measures to support small and medium-sized businesses. These include a moratorium on bankruptcy, tax holidays, deferred payments, subsidies and soft loans to support work processes and employment. In particular, Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 29 proposed a three-month extension of the tax deferral for small and medium-sized businesses affected by the pandemic. An extension and a moratorium on inspections are planned for them.
