OREANDA-NEWS The global electronics industry has been threatened by the conflict in Africa between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda. The newspaper "Vzglyad" writes about this.
"There is a possibility that Tutsis may again move from the Great Lakes deep into DR Congo, confiscating coltan deposits, gold mines and diamond mines along the way," the publication notes.
Coltan, 80 percent of the world's deposits of which are located in the Congo, is important for the global economy, because without it, the production of computers and mobile phones is impossible, the publication explains.
The day before, protesting residents of the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Kinshasa set fire to the American Embassy, pelting it with burning tires.
