OREANDA-NEWS. Production and repair of attack aircrafts Su-25 may be launched in Georgia. This was stated by Minister of Defense, Irakli Garibashvili on the air of the local TV channel PalitraNews.

According to the politician, this can be done on the basis of the Tbilisi Aviation Plant, and in the future export trade in these aircrafts can be organized. “Today we have absolutely all the resources: technical, intellectual and human, to repair, restore… produce new Su-25 by our own means and sell them,” the Minister said. Garibashvili noted that nowadays there are many conflicts in the world, and many countries show high interest in this type of combat aircraft.

In addition, the head of the Georgian military department said that he had already ordered to study the issue of production of cartridges, grenade launchers, grenades and missiles in accordance with NATO standards.
