OREANDA-NEWS The tourism sector of Georgia was left without tens of millions of dollars due to the loss of Russian travelers. This was stated by Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze.
“In July, the tourist sector suffered damage of up to $60 million,” these are the words of the Georgian prime minister. Bakhtadze, however, noted that the country intends to return the growth dynamics that existed in the country before the ban on air traffic between Russia and Georgia.
Earlier, the politician noted that for Georgia the tourism industry will continue to be a “locomotive of economic development”. But it will be difficult to maintain a trend to increase the flow of tourists in the current foreign policy situation in the coming months.
