OREANDA-NEWS. The Georgian government bans the sale of alcoholic beverages, including wine and beer, from March 31 until the end of the state of emergency.

This is stated in a decree published on the website of the cabinet. “During the state of emergency, the operation of enterprises selling alcoholic beverages and beer, as well as wine and other alcoholic beverages of grape origin, is prohibited,” the document says. Public catering enterprises should work only on takeaway or in delivery mode.

A state of emergency was introduced in Georgia on March 21 according to a decree signed by President Salome Zourabichvili. I will last at least till April 21. This regime provides for restrictions on air and land transportation, prosecution of all those who violate quarantine rules, as well as a ban on events involving more than ten people.
