OREANDA-NEWS  Gazprom considers Africa to be a promising gas market and is ready to actively share its experience with the countries of the continent. The relevant statements, which were voiced by the head of the department of Gazprom PJSC, CEO of Gazprom Export Dmitry Khandoga, are quoted by TASS.

The top manager noted that the Russian gas producer is considering projects for gas engine fuel, low-tonnage LNG and gas generation, which it may announce at the African Energy Week in Cape Town. According to him, Gazprom considers it important to develop and implement general schemes for the development of the gas industry in individual countries.

Earlier, Nikolai Shulginov, who held the post of Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation until May 2024, said at a meeting with his Nigerian counterpart that Russia is ready to cooperate in the exploration of oil and gas fields in this country. He also pointed out that the parties discussed cooperation on the creation of a network of gas filling stations.
