G20 Believes Recognizing Vaccination Certificates will Improve Quality of Life
OREANDA-NEWS. The G20 countries share the view that the recognition of COVID-19 vaccination certificates will accelerate plans to develop economies and improve the quality of life, Svetlana Lukash, the Sherpa of the Russian Federation in the G20, said.
“Everyone shares the opinion that if we agree on how to recognize vaccination certificates, this will, of course, significantly speed up the economic plans and improve the quality of life of all people and businesses,” Lukash said.
According to her, the issue of consultations on the recognition of vaccination certificates is regulated by national legislation, which differs in each country.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said earlier that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will take part in the face-to-face G20 summit in Rome. According to her, a number of bilateral meetings are planned at Lavrov's in Rome. Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti that Russian President Vladimir Putin decided to take part in the G20 summit via video link due to the epidemiological situation.
Earlier, EU Ambassador to Russia Markus Ederer said that EU diplomats are working with Russian counterparts on the mutual recognition of digital certificates of vaccination against coronavirus.
