OREANDA-NEWS. The administration of Transbaikalia from the FSB of Russia received a negative opinion about the possibility of building a cross-border bridge over the Amur near the village of Pokrovka, Mogochinsk District.

 We are talking about a bridge over the Amur near the village of Pokrovka, Mogochinsky District.  Previously, a seasonal checkpoint worked there, wishing to cross the border crossed it over the ice.  The Chinese company on development of resources "Sinbahn" is ready to invest 12 billion rubles.  The project envisages the construction of not only a bridge, but also a timber industry complex and transport infrastructure.

 In 2019, a Chinese investor suggested that Trans-Baikal build the Amazar timber industry complex and transport infrastructure.  The Heilongjiang international investment company for the development of resources, Sinbang, offered to allocate $ 12 billion for the construction of the bridge.

 The Russian Greenpeace quickly spoke out against this proposal: the head of the forest department of this organization, Alexei Yaroshenko, said in February that in the east of the Trans-Baikal Territory there was no resource base for the forestry complex.
