OREANDA-NEWS. The website of the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) reports that officers prevented two terrorist attacks in the territory of the country.

According to the agency, two Islamists were preparing attacks in the Stavropol Krai, one of them was destroyed, and another was detained in the town of Neftekumsk. Both belonged to the terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant banned in Russia. At the scene, intelligence officers found components for the manufacture of explosive devices, weapons and extremist literature.

Another group of terrorists were preparing an attack in a shopping center in the town of Lyantor (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug). Three militants of the group Caucasus Emirate banned in Russia were involved in it. During searches, FSB officers found a home-made explosive device ready for use, components for such devices, weapons and ammunition.
