OREANDA-NEWS. The officers of the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) prevented the impending terrorist attack in the Tver Region.

According to the Center for Public Relations of the agency, in the town of Kimry, “a Russian citizen born in 2001 was detained, he was involved in the preparation of arson of government buildings, armed attacks on law enforcement officials and public servants.” A traumatic Makarov pistol converted into combat weapon with self-made ammunition, as well as three improvised incendiary devices of the Molotov cocktail type, cold weapons, and communications equipment were confiscated. In addition, as the Center’s representative note, “diaries containing information about the planned crime were seized.”

Investigators of the FSB opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 30 and Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of Russia (preparation for a terrorist act). The suspect was arrested.
