OREANDA-NEWS. Officers of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia have detained 13 people who were preparing mass murders with the use of explosive devices.

This was reported by the Public Relations Center of the agency. “In a number of regions, 13 Russian citizens who were planning mass murders using improvised explosive devices, incendiary mixtures, cold weapons, as well as persuading Internet users to commit such crimes, were detained,” the message says. During the searches, officers seized ready-to-use explosive devices, hunting, traumatic and cold weapons. FSB representatives informed that 11 of the detainees were members of a closed Internet community in one of the Internet social networks.

“The criminal plans of these persons were confirmed by the seized personal diaries and communication means, in which instructions for the manufacture of incendiary and explosive devices, schemes of attacks on educational institutions, buildings of law enforcement structures and places with a mass gathering of people were found,” the Center added.
