OREANDA-NEWS. Officers of the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) prevented an armed attack by a teenager on an educational institution in the city of Tula. This was reported to TASS news agency by the Center for Public Relations of the FSB.

"The Federal Security Service in Tula detained a local resident born in 2002 who was preparing an armed attack on an educational institution,” the message says. A sawed-off shotgun and materials about similar crimes were confiscated from the teenager.

The FSB reported that the investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Tula opened a criminal case under the article on Illegal acquisition and storage of weapons. On the fact of the planned attack on an educational institution, the issue of additional procedural qualifications of the detainee’s actions is being decided, the Center for Public Relations of the FSB adds.
