OREANDA-NEWS. The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia prevented a terrorist attack in the territory of the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria prepared by members of banned in the country terrorist organization Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) against law enforcement officers.

The agency informed that as a result of the reconnaissance operation, the security forces found four militants in the mountain wooded area of ​​the Chegem District of the republic. “During the arrest, the terrorists put up armed resistance, during which they received wounds incompatible with life,” the message says.

An assault rifle, a carbine, two pistols and ammunition were found at the scene of the clash. In the house of the terrorists in the city of Nalchik, officers found ready-to-use self-made explosive device, components for the manufacture of explosives and communication means containing discussions on the planned terrorist attack with the ISIL members.
