FSB of Russia in Cooperation with the USA Cut off the Supply of Cocaine from South America
OREANDA-NEWS. The Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB), together with the Drug Enforcement Administration of the US Department of Justice, carried out a major operation to close the channel of cocaine supply to Russia and European countries from South America. This was reported by the FSB Public Relations Center.
In May 2020, a drug courier was detained in Saint Petersburg, who was found to possess 1 kilogram of cocaine. Together with foreign partners, active members of an organized criminal group were identified, they are citizens of several states.
In June, during an attempt to sell drugs on an especially large scale in Moscow, participants and one of the organizers of the group were red-handed, 34 kilograms of cocaine were seized. At the final stage of the operation in November 2020, despite the conspiracy measures taken by drug dealers, a cache was found in the Moscow Region, in which at least 295 kilograms of the drug turned out to be.
