OREANDA-NEWS  Employees of the FSB of Russia for Tatarstan detained in Kazan an alleged supporter of one of the organizations recognized as terrorist in the Russian Federation, who, according to the investigation, planned to set fire to military equipment, the press service of the department told Interfax on Wednesday.

"The detainee is suspected of having arranged a cache of kerosene bottles near the territory of the Kazan Higher Tank Command School and was going to set fire to armored vehicles," an informed source familiar with the investigation told the agency.

According to him, during the search of the detainee's house, transformers, timers for the detonator, a quadcopter, silent clock mechanisms and components for explosives were found.

A criminal case has been opened on participation in the activities of a terrorist organization.

Interfax has no comments yet from official sources about the details of the planned crime.
