OREANDA-NEWS. The Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) has discovered seven clandestine weapons workshops engaged in the restoration of military weapons and the production of ammunition.

The Public Relations Center of the agency reported that gunsmiths from more than 20 regions of Russia worked in the workshops. Officers found 95 units of firearms: assault rifles, machine guns, carbines, other kinds of rifles and pistols. Besides, there were weapons of the Great Patriotic War among the arms found in workshops. 17 kilograms of explosives, 550 fuses, 5 thousand cartridges and 16 silencers were captured.

It is mentioned in the statement of the Center that the seized means of destruction were sent to forensic investigations. According to the results, procedural decisions will be made.
