OREANDA-NEWS Omsk, Kemerovo, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen regions, Perm Krai and several other regions of Russia are expected to freeze in the next two nights. This was reported to TASS on Monday by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

"On June 13 and 14, frosts are forecast in those regions where the heat was up to 35-40 degrees for almost 15 days - Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo regions. The temperature there will drop to -2 degrees. This is a powerful invasion of cold," he said.

According to Vilfand, the regions of the Ural and Volga Federal Districts are also expected to freeze in the coming nights. "The Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk, Kurgan regions will also be subject to frosts up to -2 degrees, and in the south of the Tyumen region they will be up to -5 degrees. In Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Perm Krai, there will also be frosts up to -3 degrees," he said.

The meteorologist also added that freezing temperatures of up to -2 degrees are forecast in the Irkutsk region.
