OREANDA-NEWS Four gas stations for electric vehicles, built as part of a pilot project to create a charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, have begun operating in Ingushetia, six more such gas stations will be built in the republic by the end of this year, the press service of the head of the republic reported.

Earlier it was reported that Ingushetia entered into a pilot project to create a charging infrastructure for electric transport. For the implementation of the project, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation allocated a subsidy to the region in the amount of 27.7 million rubles, which are aimed at reimbursing investors' costs.

"This year, within the framework of the agreement, four charging stations have already been built and put into operation: in the cities of Malgobek and Nazran, in the rural settlements of Troitskoye and Nesterovskoye. By the end of the year, six more gas stations will be introduced for fast charging of electric motor vehicles. The land plots for the construction of the remaining gas stations have already been selected," the message says.

It is noted that in 2025 it is planned to build about ten more such gas stations. and by 2030, the regional authorities intend to increase the number of electric vehicles on the roads to 10%.

"The more charging points available, the more confident drivers can consider electric cars as an alternative to traditional gasoline and diesel models. This, in turn, leads to a reduction in emissions of carbon dioxide and other harmful substances, which has a positive effect on the environment. In my opinion, investing in charging stations for electric vehicles is a step into the future that will benefit not only the environment, but also the economy, improving people's quality of life and creating a cleaner and safer environment," said the head of Ingushetia Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov.
