Former Russian military officer fined for trips to South Ossetia

OREANDA-NEWS In North Ossetia, a court fined 210 thousand rubles to a former serviceman of one of the military units of the Russian Ministry of Defense for illegally crossing the border.
It was established that a 48-year-old resident of Vladikavkaz previously had access to information that constituted state secrets, and after his dismissal had restrictions on leaving the country. However, the man repeatedly crossed the border through the Nizhny Zaramag checkpoint, which is located on the border of Russia and South Ossetia.
The former military man was found guilty under article 283.2 ("Violation of requirements for the protection of state secrets") The Criminal Code OF the Russian Federation.
