OREANDA-NEWS  Due to US sanctions, 69 Russian vessels will not be able to enter the seaports of Bangladesh — in January, the country's Foreign Ministry handed over the list of vessels to the competent authorities. At the same time, such a step does not mean that this country will stop importing goods from the Russian Federation, the diplomatic department stressed. According to the Russian Embassy in Dhaka, this decision will not stop the import of Russian products to Bangladesh.The reason for this judgment is that "only specific vessels" were sanctioned.

"This step does not mean stopping the import of goods, as only specific vessels fall under sanctions," the diplomatic mission stressed.

Deliveries of equipment to Bangladesh for the Ruppur NPP are on schedule, despite the ban on Russian vessels entering ports.
