The minister also expressed the hope that in the situation with Franchetti, the Czech authorities will strictly follow the law and will not succumb to political provocations.

In turn, the press secretary of the Russian Embassy in the Czech Republic Nikolai Bryakin confirmed to RIA Novosti that a citizen of the Russian Federation Alexander Franchetti was detained at the Prague airport.

The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to study the reasons and legal grounds for the detention of a Russian citizen at the Prague airport on a warrant issued by Ukraine, according to the website of the RF IC.
