OREANDA-NEWS  The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has found Russian Post guilty of violating the law on protection of competition. This is stated in a message on the agency's website.

We are talking about restricting the access of private postal operators to their information system, which contains information about the possibilities of delivering written correspondence in electronic form.

Currently, citizens can choose this type of receipt of shipments from government agencies using the public services portal. However, only the Russian Post information system has the opportunity to verify consent to such receipt of shipments, and other market participants cannot use it.

The supervisory authority ordered the natural monopolist to include in the standard form of the inter-operator exchange agreement a service for the delivery of written correspondence in electronic form and to conclude or re-sign agreements with private companies. The FAS also indicated that the Russian Post will be brought to administrative responsibility.

In June, it was reported that the Russian Post would appeal the decision of the Moscow Magistrate's Court after a fine of 100 million rubles on the claim of the Accounting Chamber for delays in the repair of branches.
