OREANDA-NEWS The head of the forest department of the Russian branch of Greenpeace Alexei Yaroshenko announced the end of the peak of forest fires in Siberia.

It is noted that heavy rains that came in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Irkutsk Region should reduce the area of fires. 

However, the expert stressed that no rain can guarantee a complete cessation of fires, but they can improve the situation. 

In addition, Yaroshenko added that in Yakutia the improvement of the situation is not expected.
