OREANDA-NEWS The leaders of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) determined the rules for the functioning of a single market for sensitive types of products, securing their free circulation in mutual trade within the approved indicative balances. This happened at the intergovernmental council on Tuesday, June 21.
"The list includes wheat and meslin, barley, corn, sunflower seeds, sugar, sunflower oil, recyclable paper or cardboard, as well as waste and scrap of ferrous metals", said Andrey Slepnev, Minister for Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). He is quoted by the message of the EEC trade bloc.
The EEC Council, together with the governments of the EAEU member states, was instructed to organize the preparation of balance sheets for goods from the list.
At the same time, the countries of the union will control compliance with export restrictions imposed by the EAEU participants in relation to these goods.
"When exporting these products to third countries, the parties will not allow circumvention of export control measures established by one or more states, including through the adoption of unilateral and (or) uniform export control measures within the union", the message says.
The Order of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will enter into force on the day of its official publication and will be valid until September 30, 2024.
