OREANDA-NEWS. The match of the second division of the championship of Bulgaria led to the infection of 19 football players and employees of the participating clubs with coronavirus of a new type. This was reported by the edition 24chasa.

The reason for the mass infection was the match between Tsarsko Selo (Sofia) and Cherno More (Varna), which took place on July 2. The laboratory by mistake did not identify SARS-CoV-2 in the Tsarsko Selo’s back Martin Kavdanski, which allowed him to participate in the match. After the game, in Tsarsko Selo coronavirus was found in three more players, and in Cherno More in 16 players and employees.

From March 13 to May 14, a state of emergency was in effect in Bulgaria. Then, quarantine measures were weakened. Currently, a regime of emergency epidemiological situation maintains in the territory of the country, it will last until the end of July.
