OREANDA-NEWS. A representative of the People’s Militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) told reporters that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to aggravate the situation in the Donbass by provocative fire on human settlements.

According to him, on January 3, Ukrainian military men fired villages Zaitsevo and Staromikhailovka from anti-tank grenade launchers and machine guns.

“We regard these actions of the Ukrainian side as an attempt to aggravate the situation and provoke us to return fire in order to accuse us of firing during the New Year and Christmas holidays after that. We urge the Ukrainian side to abandon their plans to destabilize the situation,” a representative of the People’s Militia said.
