Delegations from 36 countries will come to observe the elections in Russia

OREANDA-NEWS At the invitation of Russian lawmakers, delegations from 36 countries, as well as from five international organizations, including the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly (IPA), the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO PA), the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN), come to the Russian Federation as observers, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev told RIA Novosti.
"As of today, at the invitation of the chambers of the Federal Assembly, delegations from 36 countries, including 30 national parliaments, as well as from five international organizations - IPA CIS, PA CSTO, AIPO (Interparliamentary Organization of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations), OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) come to the elections as observers, PARLASEN," the politician said.
According to Kosachev, in total, more than 200 parliamentary observers and several dozen more electoral experts have been accredited through the Federal Assembly, also at the invitation of legislators, and "this number may increase further."
"All organizational issues have been resolved, according to our information, there are no problems," concluded the Deputy speaker of the Federation Council.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. The voting will last for three days: March 15, 16 and 17. Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation apply for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
