OREANDA-NEWS. In Nagorno-Karabakh, a military helicopter of Azerbaijani Air Forces was shot down, the aircraft fell on the territory of Iran. This was reported on October 1 by the Defense Ministry of the unrecognized Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh.

“Today, in the southern part of the Artsakh-Azerbaijani conflict zone, in the area of Varazatumb (Lele Tepe), the units of the Defense Army shot down an enemy combat helicopter, which crashed in the territory of Iran,” the agency’s information center wrote on its Facebook page. The message emphasizes that this was not intentional, such cases are inevitable, since the hostilities are being conducted near the borders of Iran.
