Death Rate in Russia in 2021 was Prohibitive, the Sociologist Said
OREANDA-NEWS The death rate in Russia in 2021 was prohibitive, sociologist Alexander Prudnik told Tsargrad. According to him, more than a million Russians have died — for the first time since the Second World War. It's too much for peacetime.
«In fact, the problem is much more serious than even how alarmingly it sounded in your mouth. The population losses over the past year exceeded one million. This is the first time since the end of World War II. This is generally some kind of exorbitant record in peacetime», Prudnik said.
Earlier, Russian researchers found that excess mortality from April 2020 to January 2021 amounted to 350,900 cases in Russia. The damage from the coronavirus turned out to be much greater than in many developed countries. In their opinion, the optimization of the healthcare system affected mortality. Alexander Myasnikov, the chief physician of the Moscow City Clinical Hospital, called it «reorganization», as a result of which «medicine was dragged into the yards».
Independent demographer Alexey Raksha said that excessive mortality in coronavirus is more strongly influenced by information coverage, propaganda and religion than the state of medicine. Believers often become infected due to the fact that they observe rituals that lead to a crowd of people.
