OREANDA-NEWS State contracts worth about 500 billion rubles were signed at the military-technical forum "Army-2024". This was announced on Tuesday by Anatoly Gulyaev, head of the Main Armament Department of the Russian Armed Forces.

"The total value of the contracts signed and awarded today is almost half a trillion, about 500 billion rubles," he said.

The army will receive more than 500 samples of weapons and more than 1 million units of weapons, Gulyaev said.

"We have the whole of 2024 in terms of the volume of state orders, almost the entire volume of the state budget in 2025 - by 98% - has been contracted for today. The obligations of the Ministry of Defense and industrial enterprises have been accepted. Therefore, this is an additional signing of contracts, as a result of which the Armed Forces will receive over 500 units of basic weapons and equipment," a representative of the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"Accordingly, in addition to 500 units of basic weapons, we will receive about 1 million more weapons of various calibers," Gulyaev said.

During the ceremony at the Army 2024 forum, six government contracts were signed and 11 were awarded. In particular, they involve the supply of upgraded heavy flamethrower systems, tanks, helicopters, guided missiles and anti-sabotage boats.
