OREANDA-NEWS. CNN learned about the refusal of the United States to help Russia develop a vaccine against COVID-19.

According to the channel’s interlocutors, cooperation was offered to the US administration’s project, aimed at accelerating the development of a vaccine against coronavirus of a new type. They say that Russia is open to the exchange of information about the vaccine, which will allow American pharmaceutical companies to produce the Russian drug in the United States. Meanwhile, CNN interlocutors added, the American side is closed to Russian proposals.

American officials told journalists of the TV channel that the Russian vaccine is considered in the United States to be underdeveloped, therefore it has not aroused serious interest of specialists.

The US government considers China to be much more serious and responsible in testing its own vaccine, one of the sources of CNN noted.
