OREANDA-NEWS. China’s inactivated coronavirus vaccine may go on sale by the end of the current year, the People’s Republic of China’s National Health Commission reported. There are 11 vaccines undergoing clinical trials in China, four of them are already in the third phase of testing.

“Currently, research and development of vaccines in China is generally progressing, four vaccines have already been approved for the third phase of clinical trials abroad, which represents 44 % of the total number of all third phase clinical trials in the world,” the National Commission informed. Several more vaccines have received approval for the first and second phases of clinical trials, some of them have already completed the second phase. “If all goes well, the Chinese inactivated vaccine could go on sale in the end of this year,” the Commission’s representative added.
