OREANDA-NEWS Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will arrive in Russia on a visit. This is reported by TASS with reference to a statement by the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Mao Ning.

The head of the Foreign Ministry will visit St. Petersburg at the invitation of Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu on September 11-12 to participate in a meeting of high representatives of the BRICS countries.

Earlier, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that China is ready to promote relations with Russia to a new level, strengthening mutual trust between the countries. The ministry added that 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China, as well as the opening of the years of culture of Russia and China.
