OREANDA-NEWS. Xinhua agency reports that the peak of the spread of the new coronavirus in China has passed. This was stated by Mi Feng, a spokesperson for the National Health Commission, at a press conference in Beijing.

According to him, the number of new cases of infection is declining. Mi Feng explained that on March 11, only six cases were detected in Wuhan. As for mainland China, with the exception of Hubei Province, seven cases were registered, and six of them were imported.

According to the National Health Commission of China, at present 80.79 thousand cases of infection have been recorded in the territory of the country. The number of deaths is 3169.

The day before, the authorities of Hubei, where the spread of coronavirus began in December 2019, announced the easing of previously introduced restrictive measures.
