OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus submitted to Russia new proposals for oil supplies to the republic. This was announced to journalists on Wednesday by the Prime Minister of the Republic Sergey Rumas, whose answers were posted on Facebook by the press secretary of the Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Isaev.
Deliveries of Russian oil to Belarusian refineries were stopped on January 1, as Moscow and Minsk did not conclude an agreement on the terms of supplies for this year. At the beginning of the year, supply began to be carried out by companies of the Safmar group. On February 26, Belneftekhim announced that in March, five new Russian companies would begin supplying oil to Belarusian refineries at a market price without a premium, in addition to the Safmar group companies.
At the same time, amid a lack of agreement with Russian companies, Belarus began to look for alternative sources of oil. So, in March, it is expected to deliver 250 thousand tons of oil from Azerbaijan through the port of Odessa and via the Odessa-Brody pipeline to the Mozyr Oil Refinery OJSC. In addition, it was reported that in March, about 160 thousand tons of oil purchased through traders will be delivered to Naftan via the port of Klaipeda in Novopolotsk.
