The agency also informed that the day before, units of the Armenian Armed Forces made an attempt to attack the Zangilan sector of the Armenian–Azerbaijani state border. “The enemy’s intention to attack was timely revealed by our units, and as a result of the successful operation, the enemy suffered heavy losses,” the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry’s statement reads. It was clarified that during the fighting, Armenia lost up to 30 servicemen and was forced to retreat to its own territory.

On November 2, the Armenian troops are shelling the villages of Agdam and Aghjabedi districts, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reports.

At the same time, Yerevan accused Baku of shelling peaceful settlements.
