OREANDA-NEWS. The French Norauto network, specializing in car services with auto parts stores, has left Russia. In June, the Russian division of the company bought the Camp auto chain store, the data on the change of ownership was reflected in the SPARK system. The deal was also confirmed by Camp CEO Anton Efimov and project director of Goetzpartners consultant company Emil Zakirov (Goetzpartners accompanied the deal).
Norauto, founded in 1986, is a brand of the French group Mobivia, one of the largest European players in the market of car service and equipment. The business, which later became the Mobivia Group, was founded by Eric Derville, the former spouse of one of Mulier’s daughters, who owns Auchan Retail. The Muglier family still owns a stake in Mobivia (package size isn't disclosed). The company operates in both the b2b and b2c segments in 20 countries. She has 2070 workshops and stores under various brands - Norauto, ATU, Midas and Carter-Cash. According to its own data, its revenue in 2018 amounted to € 3.2 billion, 55% of which amounted to international sales.
Mobivia took a long time to enter the Russian market. According to this SPARK system, the retailer registered the operating company in mid-2007, but opened its first point under the Noravto brand only in 2011 in Klimovsk. At the start, Mobivia was planning active development - it was preparing to open ten auto services worth about € 20 million. “The company entered the market thoroughly and pre-acquired land for future services”, Emil Zakirov told the Russian media. According to Emil Zakirov, now Mobivia has decided to focus on international technology projects related, in particular, with car sharing, and to focus offline business on developed Western European markets.
