OREANDA-NEWS. In accordance with NBU Board Decision No. 23 of 24 May 2016, the National Bank of Ukraine has donated all its medical equipment to the health care facilities under the jurisdiction of the  Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.  The carrying value of the equipment is UAH 1, 239,037.

“Before undergoing transformation, not only the  NBU Head Office, but also its regional offices  had health care facilities to treat NBU employees.  These health care facilities  as non-core and extrinsic to central bank function were removed from the NBU’s organizational structure.  At the same time, the medical equipment and medications were on the books of the NBU. Being aware that military servicemen defending our country badly need this medical equipment, the NBU has decided to donate its medical equipment  to treat military servicemen,” said Acting Director of the NBU Procurement and Logistics Department Mr. Yaroslav Ilnytskyi.

The medical equipment and medications were donated free of charge on 30 and 31 May 2016.

In accordance with the aforementioned NBU Board Decision, donations were targeted to the following health care institutions:

1.    The NBU Head Office has handed the medical equipment to the National Military Medical Center under the jurisdiction of the  Ministry of Defence of Ukraine;

2.    In Dnipropetrovsk oblast, the medical equipment has been donated to the Military Hospital under the jurisdiction of the  Ministry of Defence of Ukraine;

3.    In Khmelnytsk oblast, the medical equipment has been handed over to the Military Hospital under the jurisdiction of the  Ministry of Defence of Ukraine;

4.    In Chernivtsy oblast, the medical equipment has been donated to the Military Hospital under the jurisdiction of the  Ministry of Defence of Ukraine;

5.    In Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, the medical equipment has been donated to the Military Hospital under the jurisdiction of the  Ministry of Defence of Ukraine;

6.    In Kharkiv Oblast, the medical equipment has been handed over to the Nothern Regional Clinical Center under the jurisdiction of the  Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
