OREANDA-NEWS. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman declared that the management of Public Joint Stock Company “Ukrainian Railway” required fresh approaches, therefore it was planned to present a strategy of the company’s development. Volodymyr Groysman said during An Hour of Questions to the Government at the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, May 20.

"Ukrzaliznytsia requires totally new approaches regarding its management system", urged Volodymyr Groysman.

The Prime Minister reminded that among primary decisions taken by the Government had been the appointment of chairman of PJSC "Ukrainian Railway" elected through a public competition on the proposal of the Nomination Committee. On May 15, the new leader took office, Volodymyr Groysman announced.

"We are facing the challenges, inter alia to update operation of Ukrzaliznytsia’s rolling stock, and to ensure the development of the whole sector", he said.

The Prime Minister announced that in the near future the Ukrzaliznytsya and the new leadership plan to present the program of actions and development of the company.

"The new management system will change the quality of work of the Ukrainian Railways, in particular passenger and freight conveyance," said the Head of Government.
