OREANDA-NEWS  Liberal media, including foreign ones, deliberately expose Russia in their materials as a gloomy country. This opinion was expressed by designer and blogger Artemy Lebedev in his news review available on VKontakte.

According to the designer, he has been watching how the "Western training manual" works for a long time. "There are a lot of techniques, there are video devices. For example, when foreign correspondents do a report from Russia, they always have a gray sky there: they even deliberately filter it just to show that everything in this country is *** [bad]," he said. Lebedev compared this technique to that used by Nikolai Gogol in the work "Dead Souls": he conveyed the inner state of the characters through descriptions of nature.

The blogger noted that some time ago he began to write out quotes from various publications proving his point of view. He cited the example of a BBC article, which described the trip of a certain journalist to Moscow. The article in the western edition said that the capital of Russia made a gloomy first impression on the journalist: the gray sky was mentioned, the radio and TV in the hotel were not working, because of which the guest, as stated in the material, was faced with a complete lack of information.

"I would rent a hotel not for 300 rubles, but for 700, and at least he would have a radio working there. "Complete lack of information" — you open your phone and surf the Internet, you have all the information. In short, complete *** [nonsense]," the blogger said about the BBC article.

Earlier, Lebedev said that blogger and journalist Yuri Dud (listed by the Ministry of Justice in the register of foreign agents), to whom he gave an interview, complained to him about life in Europe. Dud told about crime and pickpockets in European cities.

Lebedev's interview with Dudu, lasting more than three hours, was posted on YouTube on August 1. In 9 hours, the video has gained more than 2 million views. The conversation caused a public outcry: Ekaterina Mizulina, head of the Safe Internet League (LBI), said she would sue both bloggers for harsh statements about her and LBI. State Duma deputy Nina Ostanina asked the Prosecutor General's Office to check the interview. In addition, the public movement "Supreme Council of Ossetians" appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office and the Investigative Committee with a call to bring Lebedev to justice because of his words about the terrorist attack in Beslan.
